-DETAILS-

MY PHOTOGRAPHY

I am proud to have been voted the TRI-CITES BEST PHOTOGRAPHER! I consider myself to be a fun, energetic, highly experienced, and professional photographer. I’m very outgoing and have a knack for helping my clients show off their personality in camera! I work hard to capture all of those unexpected details and subtle moments to create memorable and “real” photos for you! During a session with me, we go through some posed looks, some natural, some candid, and even some editorial-style!

CONSULTATION & BOOKING

Your experience with me begins before the first photograph is even taken. The process starts with a phone or in-person consultation where you and I will discuss the session based on my detailed client questionnaire. This allows me to get a sense of your goals for the session. Your contract and reservation fee is due when you reserve your date and time. Reservation fees are sent via PayPal to be paid with any debit/credit card or PayPal account (however, you do NOT need to have a PayPal account to complete this transaction!) Payment must be received within five (5) days of scheduling your session, otherwise your appointment date will be released. Upon booking, my assistant will also schedule a date for your follow-up ordering session to ensure we make the best use of your time in scheduling.

LOCATIONS

I am an on-location, natural light photographer. This means, that with the exception of a few custom shoots, all of my sessions are held outside – 365 days a year! Our beautiful community offers a plethora of choices when it comes to locations. From parks to wheat fields to urban backdrops and perhaps even your own backyard! I highly suggest browsing my FLICKR gallery to get ideas of locations, backgrounds, colors and more that you would like to incorporate into your session: https://www.flickr.com/photos/brittneykluse/

SHOOT TIMES

To achieve the best lighting, I prefer to shoot in the last few hours of the day’s light. In July, this means starting about 7:00 p.m. … in December, it could be as early as 2:00 p.m. Midday sun is harsh and produces unflattering light and shadows. By following the “golden-hour-evening” rule, we are sure to take advantage of the best light the day has to offer! However; as we know, weather can change! Often times, I’ll be calling or texting you the morning of the shoot to better gauge what the day looks like to make sure we nail the optimum time for your session.

VIEWING & SELECTING YOUR PHOTOS

Within fourteen (14) days of the session your final photos will be ready. When your photos are ready, I will e-mail you a password-protected link to view your final photos; additionally I will include a reminder link to all the investment information from the contract you signed. After a gallery expiration, gallery re-loads are subject to a $25 fee.

Ordering sessions are held at my in-home product studio. You’ll be able to review your photos as many times as you’d like, as well as see in-person examples of all products I offer. I pride myself on working WITH you to understand your specific product needs and helping tailor investment collections around those needs. I personally help you narrow down images and make recommendations based on my professional expertise and judgement. Your order and full payment is due at this ordering session ($550 minimum order requirement). After that, I’ll get right to work creating your one-of-a-kind boutique products and will let you know as soon as they have hit my doorstep.

I understand the digital world and the need for someone to own their digital images. This is why all of my custom collections are focused on YOU owning the digital files. Owning the digital files allows you the safety and reassurance of knowing that you have the digital negatives should a printed image be destroyed or lost. Owning the digital images also gives you the opportunity to print, post to social media, blog, e-mail, send, create custom cards, scrapbook, and more! Any digital images you purchase are provided to you in high-resolution digital JPEG format on an archival quality USB Flashdrive.

Printing Your Photos

While I can’t stop clients from printing somewhere like Wal-Mart or Costco; my strong preference is that you don’t. Turn-around print shops are designed to maximize the efficiency of the toner cartridges. This means, if the toner is low on green, the grass in the photo you are trying to print may have more cyan or yellow in it, hence, altering the color composition of the photo. If you’ve ever printed a photo and then looked at it in-person and wondered why it doesn’t look the way it looks on your screen — this is why.

Printing your photos through my digital print correction laboratory ensures digital color correction on every file (specifically matched with my computer and my custom editing techniques), excellent skin-tone reproduction, high-quality paper (won’t fade or transfer fingerprints), and more. These are options you can’t get by printing at a standard turn-around print shop (i.e.: Wal-Mart, Costco, Walgreen’s). After you place your order through the online gallery, your prints/products ship directly to the address of your choice. I hope you’ll take advantage of this great resource to ensure the prints turn out exactly as they were post-processed.
